Tour summary
Bengal tigers: king of the Indian forest
Join us on an exhilarating two-leg adventure that begins in the heart of India’s forests, where we'll seek out the mighty Bengal tiger, the true king of the jungle.
Borneo's river safari: primates and more
Following this, we'll fly to Borneo, Indonesia’s largest island, for a three-day boat journey. As we navigate the winding rivers into the lush jungle, we'll encounter proboscis monkeys and an array of water birds. With a bit of luck, we might even glimpse the endangered false gharial.
During our river expedition, we'll visit conservancy camps dedicated to protecting wild orangutans in their natural habitat. These research camps play a crucial role in safeguarding these incredible primates and supporting their conservation efforts.
Java's volcanic wonders: nature's fiery display
Next, our tour takes us to the volcanic wonders of Java, located along the renowned Ring of Fire. Indonesia is a paradise for volcano enthusiasts, offering a remarkable array of those active and dormant giants.
Our focus will be on three of these magnificent volcanoes, including the famously active Merapi. From breathtaking panoramic views at night and sunrise over a smoldering caldera to the thrilling experience of witnessing fiery gas emissions within the crater, you'll have unparalleled opportunities to marvel at one of nature’s most spectacular shows.
These nighttime volcanic activities require some physical efforts but the rewards are absolutely worth it.
Beach time?
The tour concludes in Banyuwangi, the gateway to Bali. For those looking to extend their adventure, this offers the perfect opportunity to indulge in some well-deserved white-sand beach basking!
